
The Federal Government raised it's Canadian citizenship fee on 31 March 2025. This fee is for adults, that is increased now. The Permanent Citizens, who have applied for Canadian Citizenship on or after the date, will now have to pay $119.75.
The one’s who have submitted their application online before midnight on March 31 have to pay the previous fees. The previous fees is $100 and those candidates who have submitted their application before midnight, won't be affected by this change in Citizenship fees.
The Federal Government updated their official website about the changes in citizenship fees. If you applied without paying the right amount of Permanent residence fees, you need to pay the new amount of fees.

This change means that an adult can expect to pay somewhere around $649.75 instead of the old fee of $630. Those adults who were born to Canadian parents also need to pay the same amount of Citizenship fees.
Those candidates who are under 18 are required to pay a $100 processing fee while applying for Canadian Citizenship. Remember that these fees have remained unchanged.
